FAQs:
Booking & Therapist Preferences
Can I request a specific therapist or style of massage?
Yes! Let us know when booking, and we’ll do our best to match you with a therapist aligned with your goals. Our therapists are independent professionals who set their own schedules, bring their own tools, and guide their practice in the way that best reflects their training and philosophy. While we can’t guarantee specific availability, we will always do our best to accommodate your request.
Do I need an appointment, or do you accept walk-ins?
All sessions are by appointment only. This allows us to prepare a quiet, intentional space just for you. Same-day bookings may occasionally be available—please call or check online for openings.
During Your Session
Where will my massage take place?
Your session will take place in a private, comfortable room with dim lighting, soft music, and a massage table designed for support and relaxation. The temperature, lighting, music, and pressure can all be adjusted to meet your comfort.
What should I wear?
Whatever feels right to you. Some clients remain fully clothed (especially for craniosacral therapy or energy work), others wear undergarments, or choose to disrobe completely. You’ll always be fully draped, with only the area being worked on exposed.
Will oil or lotion be used?
Yes, a light, hypoallergenic lotion or oil is typically used to reduce friction and allow for smooth, effective massage. Unscented options are available, and we’re happy to accommodate sensitivities—just let us know.
Can or should I talk during my massage?
That’s entirely up to you. Some clients prefer to relax in silence, while others feel more at ease with light conversation. You’re welcome to ask questions or give feedback at any point. Your comfort, voice, and preferences matter here.
What to Expect
How should I prepare for my massage?
Please arrive a few minutes early to settle in and share any updates or goals with your therapist. Hydration helps—drink water before and after your session to support your body’s natural healing response.
Does massage therapy hurt?
Massage should never feel harmful. Some deeper work (like trigger point therapy or deep tissue massage) may create a sensation of “productive discomfort,” but you’re always in control. Let your therapist know what feels right for you.
How will I feel afterward?
Many people feel deeply relaxed, grounded, and more present in their body. Some experience temporary soreness as circulation improves and tension begins to unwind. You may also notice improved sleep, greater flexibility, and a clearer mind in the days after your session.
Wellness & Self-Care Planning
How often should I get massage?
That depends on your needs and goals. Some clients benefit from weekly or biweekly sessions—especially when addressing chronic tension, training goals, or stress recovery. For others, a monthly massage supports ongoing maintenance and well-being. Your therapist can help you determine a rhythm that works best for you.
Can I use my HSA or FSA for massage therapy?
In many cases, yes. If your plan covers massage therapy with a medical necessity (such as treatment for pain, injury, or stress), we can provide a detailed receipt for reimbursement. Be sure to check with your provider for exact requirements.
Do you offer prenatal massage in all trimesters?
Yes! We offer prenatal massage throughout all stages of pregnancy, provided there are no contraindications. Our therapists are trained in pregnancy-specific positioning and techniques to support your comfort and safety.
Do you offer trauma-informed or nervous system-focused care?
Yes. We understand that safety, consent, and gentle pacing are essential to healing. We offer biodynamic craniosacral therapy, energy work, and bodywork designed to regulate the nervous system and restore a sense of ease in the body.
Is tipping expected?
Tips are welcome but never expected. Our therapists are professionals who set their own rates, and your presence, trust, and return visits are deeply appreciated. If you feel moved to leave a gratuity, you may do so at the time of booking or after your session.

-
Less than 24 hours’ notice or missed appointments will result in the full session fee being charged
-
This must be paid before future appointments can be booked
-
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened out of respect for the next client’s appointment, and the full service fee will still apply
Repeat cancellations or no-shows may require prepayment or limit your ability to schedule in the future.

Clients under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present at the first appointment or provide written consent. Unless previously arranged, we kindly ask that companions do not accompany clients into treatment rooms.

Inappropriate behavior, intoxication, or violations of professional boundaries will result in the immediate termination of the session and may end the client-practitioner relationship.
